Where the water of the Pacific Ocean meets the mountains of the Sierra Madre del Sur, you’ll find Lo Sereno Casa de Playa, a boutique hotel that awakens the sensory pleasure of getting reacquainted with the exuberance of the sea and tropical vegetation while enjoying personalized attention, exclusivity and privacy
Taking a timeout of the everyday life maelstrom to listen to the wind whispering between the palm trees and the sound of waves breaking on an almost virgin beach, with nothing and nobody around to interrupt — that’s one of the best ways to enjoy this unique destination that allows you to rediscover the pleasure of no-frills leisure. A haven to enjoy the concept of barefoot luxury. The harmonious contemporary aesthetic of Lo Sereno balances respect for its surroundings’ authentic beauty and a unique, intimate essence, which gives guests the feeling of being in their own beach house. The architectural project, headed by Jorge González Parcero, used Mexico’s plastic art tradition as a reference point and made the most of the richness provided by tropical woods and other local materials. The result is a structure with character, comprising 10 suites with terraces, an infinity pool with an ocean view, and a covered terrace with a handcrafted pergola. The interior décor uses furniture exclusively designed for Lo Sereno; it boldly brings together textures and finishes to achieve an avant-garde, artistic look in every space, from the lobby to the rooms and even the bathrooms, infused with minimalism through glass walls and outdoor rain shower heads. All in all, Lo Sereno’s interiorism creates an atmosphere that fully reflects the concept of barefoot luxury.
The stress-free environment of Lo Sereno, surrounded by tropical vegetation and priceless privacy, is a must for those who wish to experience the beauty of simplicity and give themselves the opportunity to stroll on the sun-drenched sand, horse-riding through landscapes still crowded with wildlife, or practice yoga at dawn, while nature awakens. On the beaches at Troncones, the tide allows the most adventurous spirits to try surfing, body boarding, stand- up paddle boarding or sport fishing; other options include exploring the nearby slopes by mountain bike or horse, hiking near the rivers caused by seasonal rains, or kayaking in the estuaries.
For Rafael Sainz Skewes (Photo below), the mastermind behind Lo Sereno Casa de Playa, it was the sensations he experienced when he discovered this golden beach paradise that gave him the vision to create a concept that would reflect his ideal of a hotel where one could have a perfect day at the beach: an inspiring setting, excellent food and great company.
