Summer in the City: Dublin

28. Juli 2017

If you had 1, 3 or 5 hours to explore Dublin, what would you do? Right: go and eat something! The concierges of Conrad Hotels & Resorts know the places. The hotel group for the new generation of smart luxury travelers offers an innovative way to a curated collection of 1-hour, 3-hour or 5-hour experiences. Like these in Dublin

Seafood to love at Catch-22

Simple and served quick. Catch-22 uses quality ingredients and all the food is freshly prepared every day on-site by the crew. The fish is supplied from the seas off the East, West and Southern coasts of Ireland.

For cheese lovers: Sheridans Cheesemongers

The little store is located in the city centre, just off Grafton Street. It has a great selection of the best Irish and European cheeses all cared for in our specially controlled atmosphere. Shop Manager John Leverrier and his expert staff will gladly talk you through the cheeses and you are always welcome to taste the cheeses before you buy.  They do also  a small selection of the best sandwiches in Dublin! We love pockmarked Saint Brigid, a strong, creamy, slightly pungent raw cow’s-milk cheese from County Cork that’s great with a dark beer.

Picnic at St. Stephen’s Green

Take your picnic  to leafy St. Stephen’s Green, where Dubliners head for alfresco lunches, or to the secret idyll that is the Iveagh Gardens. The park is an important public resource in the area, and provides an oasis of green calm in the middle of a bustling city. Its four centuries of history are eventful and complex, involving such important figures as Arthur Guinness, 1st Baron Ardilaun, and Countess Constance Markievicz. The park itself hosts a large number of important sculptural monuments to Irish history. The Conrad will be happy to gather a delicious artisanal picnic and find a perfect spot, not as crowed like on the image!

The Stay Inspired 1/3/5 is a tailored program which you can find at some selected Conrad Hotel wordwide. www.hiltonhotels.de
