MAINOVA: THE NEW PORTUGUESE BRAND OF WINE AND EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL HAS A COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

Throughout her life, Bárbara Monteiro, the youngest of three sisters, always heard, sometimes grudgingly, that she was the “mainova” – a popular Portuguese expression that means “the youngest”. Now, she is the face of the new Portuguese brand of wine and extra virgin olive oil appropriately called MAINOVA. This is the unfolding of a project that started in 2010 when her parents acquired the property of Herdade da Fonte Santa, in Vimieiro, Alto Alentejo. In a farmland where there was only a small olive grove around 50 years old, the Monteiro family have planted 90 hectares of olive trees (from the varieties Cordovil, Picual, Cobrançosa, Arbequina and Frantoio) and 20 hectares of vineyards – the varieties were handpicked by the family patriarch with the supervision of the English wine grower David Booth and include unanimous bets in the area but also less likely, as is the case of Baga and Encruzado. Decisions that reflect the irreverent DNA of the brand whose mission is to preserve the heritage of generations, but always looking to the future. Image: PR

Automobili Lamborghini and 24bottles have produced their first special edition under the two Italian brands’ collaboration: the 24Bottles for Automobili Lamborghini Clima Bottle design recalls the iconic camouflage sported by the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, when it took the track record at Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife. Each 24bottles product is authentically crafted with a manually-applied pattern, making each bottle unique and original. The collaboration reflects contemporary lifestyles and fashion culture as well as the increasing demand for environmental innovation, to which both companies are committed:24Bottles for Automobili Lamborghini – Clima Bottle is a perfect synthesis of the two brands, combining sustainability, design and proven performance.
